From Tomi Hakola of the Finnish Class - What a historical weekend for the Finnish Melges 24 Fleet! This second Finnish Melges 24 ranking event was held on the 26th and 27th of May in Helsinki. We had 15 boats on the starting line which is our all time high in a ordinary Finnish ranking event.
On 25th May the German Class held it's AGM 2007 and it was reported on the year 2006 and the planning for 2007, additional Jrn Petry was elected as represantive for the growing fleet in the Baltic Sea area.
The Czech Melges 24 Association was founded at the beginning of the year 2007. This year the class is just at its start and during the season 2007 five regattas will be organized including the International Championship.
The German Melges24 Cup, now in its 10th edition, was sailed at Tutzing from 17.-19. May 2007. 11 Boats signed in and were on the starting line as well.
