The IMCA is constantly striving to ensure that Melges 24 events are run to the highest standards and to that end we have improved the entry and registration procedure for Corinthian Competitors at the forthcoming 2008 Volvo Melges 24 World Championship in Porto Cervo.

The 1st May entry deadline for the 2008 Volvo Melges 24 World Championship is fast approaching so if you haven't already made your entry please do so as soon as possible.

From Christophe Barrue of the French Melges 24 Class - Before the start of this year's SNIM regatta we knew the Mistral should blow. 33 boats came to have fun provided the mistral would cooperate by leaving a window to sail during the four days of racing planned over the Easter Weekend.

There's just a week to go until the start of the 2008 SNIM Regatta, which takes place in Marseille, France, over the Easter weekend.

Four Melges 24s competed in last week's St Maarten Heineken Regatta and put in an outstanding performance to take 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 8th place racing under the local handicap system in Spinnaker Class 5.

YFA, the company that brings us the Czech Melges 24 Tour, has confirmd that two of their fleet of 9 Melges 24s (hull numbers from 692 to 712) are still available for charter for the 2008 Volvo Melges 24 World Championship 2008. The boats were built during 2007 and are well maintained.
