For the second year running the Melges 24 Young Guns Regatta hosted by Royal Price Alfred Yacht Club in association with Yachting NSW and many volunteers brought together young competitors aged sixteen to thirty years old from many classes for some hard racing and a chance to socialise.

North Sea Regatta -A great regatta for all the Melges 24 sailors who want to have a great sailing event in May. From 25 till 28 May many classes will compete in four incredible days of racing on the North Sea.

Dear Sailors, finally we have got full approval from ISAF to the ClassRule changes approved at the 2011 IMCA World Council AGM in November. The most critical has been the weight rule C.2.2.

ISAF has today approved the final 2012 changes to the Melges 24 Class Rules and has published a new edition of the Melges 24 Class Rule Bookwhich comes into effect immediately.

The Coppa Lino Favini, hosted by the Associazione Velica Alto Verbano in Luino, Italy from 5-7 October 2012, has been added to the 2012 Melges 24 European and World Ranking Series.

Sydney Harbour was a mass of colour yesterday on the opening day of Middle Harbour Yacht Club’s annual Sydney Harbour Regatta, which boasted 237 boats from the two grand prix 66ft Reichel/Pugh designed Wild Oats X down to the historic 18 foot skiffs and vintage yachts, which turned a few heads.
