After two races on day 1, reigning U.S. National Champion Bora Gulari aboardWest Marine Rigging/New England Ropesdominated the extremely competitive Melges 24 fleet at Quantum Key West 2012 with a 1-1 score line.

With the success of the Melges 24 in the Baltic region the Finnish/Estonian Melges 24 Association has now gained such momentum that from 2012 they will administer their classes separately.
