Coppa Lino Favini Added To Melges 24 European and World Ranking Series

The Coppa Lino Favini, hosted by the Associazione Velica Alto Verbano in Luino, Italy from 5-7 October 2012, has been added to the 2012 Melges 24 European and World Ranking Series. This delightful event is run in memory of the father of Melges 24 World and European Champion Flavio Favini and is well worth a visit. Located on the eastern shore of Lake Maggiore just a few kilometres from the Swiss/Italian border the historic small town of Luino makes the perfect venue for a late season regatta when competitors can expect not only great racing and great camaraderie but also a chance to sample the local wines and culinary delights for which the Lombardy region is justifiably world renowned.
