Just two points separate 2011 and 2010 Charleston Champions going into final day of racing.
Despite forecasts for light and unsteady wind, the first day of the 2012 Melges 24 Gold Cup at Charleston Race Week dawned with a nice 8-10 knot Northerly breeze. It was more than enough for PRO Hank Stuart, who knocked off 4 action-filled races in less than four hours with wind from 8-15 knots.

Our class has changed a lot during the past 5 years and to keep up with the changing demands of the social media we have decided that the OLD International Melges 24 Association GROUP with all activities, posts etc will be DELETED during April 2012.

The first ever Aarhus Melges 24 Spring Cup was sailed last weekend in the magnificant location the Melges 24 class had it´s 2011 Europeans. The event attracted 15 boats from 4 nations (Denmark, Germany, Norway and Finland).
For the second year running the Melges 24 Young Guns Regatta hosted by Royal Price Alfred Yacht Club in association with Yachting NSW and many volunteers brought together young competitors aged sixteen to thirty years old from many classes for some hard racing and a chance to socialise.
