By Katina Read (Splash Publicity) - Herald Express Torbay - This year the Bay is hosting the Ocean BMW Melges 24 European Championship. In 1998 the Bay held the first ever Melges 24 World Championship.

In Oslo this weekend one season ends and another starts with the Musto Ski-Yachting. Friday afternoon there is slalom in the Tryvannskleiva just outside Oslo city. You can go all the way to the slalom hill by subway no 1. Saturday there is sailing in the Oslo fjord.
From Tomi Hakola In Finland - Sailing season starting within 2 weeks in Finland although there's still approximately a 10-15 centimeter thick ice cover on the sea outside the city of Helsinki. Luckily the night air temperatures have been for the past week above 0 degrees.
From Natasa The Italian Melges24 class is alive and kicking! The Volvo Cup started in March in Alassio, unfortunately with a one week delay. We had to decide at the very last minute, but theres not much we could do, against the snow storm that closed down highways, railroads and airports!
From The Italian Class - This time the weather was on our side, and the first regatta of the Volvo Cup 2005 enjoyed three gorgeous days, on the weekend between March 11th and 13th in Alassio. Thirty Melges 24s, ten Beneteau 25 and ten H22 boats on the starting line on friday.
