From the French Class Association - The COYCH take again pleasure in welcoming you in Hyres harbour for the last classical winter race in Europe of the Melges 24s season. The inscriptions are opened on the website www.coych.org then regate.
IMCA FORMAL STATEMENT - Following the recent Melges 24 World Championship prize giving in Hyeres it was brought to the organisers’ attention that an error may have been made in identifying the teams competing for the Corinthian Championship.
The dates for the 2007 European Championship, which takes place from Neustadt, Germany on the Baltic Sea, have been revised to 17-23 August (one week later than previously planned). The event website www.euro2007.melges24.de is updated monthly and is already showing plenty of helpful information.
I know from the e-mails I've been receiving that lots of people are keen to get hold of a copy of the 2006 Melges 24 Worlds DVD being produced so here is a quick update on progress with the project.
Many classes would struggle to get a total entry of 60 boats for a championship, but the Melges 24 Worlds in Hyeres boasted two fleets of that size and racing for the Silver fleet honours was just as hotly contested as that in the Gold fleet.
