From UK Class Press Officer Justin Chisholm - Members of the UK Melges 24 Class have been active on the international circuit in January with several teams kicking off their campaigns leading up to the June 2008 Worlds in Sardinia.
We are delighted to announce that the new 2008 VOLVO MELGES 24 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP WEB SITE is now live and ready for you to make your entries. Both the NOTICE OF RACE and the ONLINE ENTRY SYSTEM are live.
YFA, the company that brings us the Czech Melges 24 Tour, is operating a fleet of 9 new Melges 24s (hull numbers from 692 to 712) available for charter for the Czech Melges 24 Tour events and certain other key championship events.
The new rules are now in force and we have had the first major event of the year. We are still waiting for supplies of the track stops so the temporary suspension of rules C6.1.6 & C6.2.5 remains in place, but all other rules should now be in force.
