From the Norwegian Melges 24 Class - In Norway and Northern Europe the Melges class is at new record levels, both in numbers and activities.

16 boats have already applied for the Czech Nationals including one German boat. Czech Melges association regards this number to be success for the class (10 competing boat in year 2007).

To have a more convenient travelling for the teams coming from outside Germany we have slightly changed the program for the 2008 German Open Chanpionship: Registration on Friday, 12.09. is possible until 12:00 oclock (instead 10:30)1st start in Friday, 12.09.

The German Class is proud to present two events in early autumn which should attract crews from other national classes: 12. - 14. September: German Open, Flensburg - A good possibility to show the power of the class to others in the business - J80 and X35 will hold races at the same weekend.

From the Germany Melges 24 Class - Travemuender Woche 2008 also incorporated the 2008 ORC European Championships for Sportsboats and we are delighted to report that the event was completely dominated by the Melges 24 class.
