Good morning from day one of the Volvo Melges 24 World Championship in Porto Cervo. As you can see from our picture (take at 0830) it's overcast here and there's a cool south easterly wind blowing at around 12-14 knots.
Registration has now closed at the Volvo Melges 24 World Championship in Porto Cervo and there is an air of anticipation as everyone awaits the start of the championship tomorrow.
It's now 1330 and event measurement and registration is now nearing completion at the Volvo Melges 24 Worlds in Porto Cervo. The final deadline is 1400 and there are just a few crews still to complete their formalities. For the measurement team it has been a very hectic morning.

The second and final day of the Volvo Melges 24 Pre-World Championship Regatta at the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in Porto Cervo brought respite from yesterdays storms and two outstanding races in sparkling Costa Smeralda sunshine with a breeze that built steadily from 12 to around 20 knots.
European Melges 24 builder Devoti Sailing is here in Porto Cervo supporting the competitors at the Volvo Melges 24 Worlds. The team has full spares with them and the ability to provide a repairs service as well.
