Racing is already underway here in Porto Cervo for the final day of the Volvo Melges 24 World Championship. The wind is lighter today but still good and the Race Committee has every hope of getting all three remaining races underway before the 1500 cut off time for the last race.

Porto Cervo, 5 June 2008 - What a difference a day makes, as the 114 competitors from 16 nations found out on the fifth day of the Volvo Melges 24 World Championship, hosted by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in Porto Cervo.

It's 09.15 here in Porto Cervo and the Volvo Melges 24 World Championship competitors are now making their way out to the race course in preparation for the fifth and penultimate day of competition.

The fleet completed the sixth and final Round Robin race this morning and are now back ashore hearing protests and awaiting a final split for the Gold and Silver fleets.
