To help everyone ensure that they are correctly positioning the track stop for the mainsail Southern Spars have kindly provided us with a sketch showing where the stop should be positioned for sails with a full length and a cut back bolt rope.
From the International Melges 24 Class Association. With effect from 1 August 2008. For the attention of all Melges 24 owners and sailors. The suspension of IMCA Class Rules C6.1.6 and C6.2.5, which came into force on 16 January 2008, will be rescinded with effect from 1st August 2008.
Congratulations to Alan Field and his crew aboard WTF for their fantastic win at last weekend's Newport Regatta, the latest event in the World and North American ranking series. It was an incredibly closely fought event with Field beating Scott Norris, sailing Lightwave, by just one point.
The updated WORLD & CONTINENTAL RANKING RESULTS have now been published and we're delighted to report that Flavio Favini leads John Pollard and Lorenzo Bressani. In the North American ranking Alan Field has pole position with Shawn Grisham second and Richard Reid third.
From the USMCA - The Melges 24 Newport Regatta, July 11-13, hosted by Sail Newport and held in Newport, R.I. will officially mark the mid-point in the International Melges 24 Class' 2008 North American Ranking Series.
