End of Suspension of Class Rules C6.1.6 and C6..2.5
From the International Melges 24 Class Association. With effect from 1 August 2008. For the attention of all Melges 24 owners and sailors. The suspension of IMCA Class Rules C6.1.6 and C6.2.5, which came into force on 16 January 2008, will be rescinded with effect from 1st August 2008. As of that date the following class rules will once again be fully enforced:-
Rule C.6.1.6
The mast shall be fitted with a securely fixed sail track stop as supplied by the licensed builders.
Rule C.6.2.5
The boom shall be fitted with a securely fixed sail track stop as supplied by the licensed builders.
Stocks of the track stops are available from all Melges 24 Builders and spares stockists.
Sailors are reminded that it remains their responsibility to ensure that sails are not hoisted above the measurement marks and can be protested by the Jury or a competitor if they fail to comply.
