The 2008 Melges 24 North American Championship, to be hosted by the Eastport Yacht Club of Annapolis, MD, from October 26 to November 2, is fast approaching and as the event looms ever closer the sponsor and competitor buzz surrounding the regatta grows daily.
From the German Melges 24 Class - From 12-14 September Flensburger Segel Club (www.fsc.de) hosted the German Open 2008 for the International Melges 24 Class. The German Class Association were happy to welcome 18 teams in Germanys most northerly city close to the Danish boarder.

Registration has been extended until Friday, September 12th for the 2008 OSA Sailing Melges 24 U.S. National Championship in Charleston, S.C., September 18-21. The USMCA and the Charleston Yacht Club announced the extension to meet the strong demand from top racers and class new comers.
URGENT MESSAGE FROM THE USMCA - The USMCA regrets to inform that the famous 2008 Melges 24 King's Day Regatta/Atlantic Coast Championship has been canceled. The regatta was originally scheduled to take place on November 22-23 at the Florida Yacht Club.
From Nils Hauff of the Norwegian Melges 24 Class - Terra Eiendomsmegling (Terra Something ref. Chrisholm) won another prize this weekend by winning the Open Norwegian Championship at Hank.
