Change of Date for French Nationals

The French Melges 24 Class has today announced a change of date for the 2009 French Open Championship which will now take place from 21 to 25 May 2009. The event is to be run in conjunction with the Grand Prix Ecole Navale in Brest, which is one of northern France's major one design regattas and the perfect shop window for the Melges 24 to demonstrate it's charms to a new audience of potential sailors. The event has already been included by the UK Class as part of it's now Ranking series so a number of British crews are expected to attend and the French Class looks forward to welcoming other international Melges 24 teams to the event.
