The three Melges 24s competing at the St Maarten Heineken Regatta in the Caribbean got the week off to a great start yesterday by scoring 1, 2 and 5 in the first race for the Division Five Sportsboat Class.

The schedule for the 2009 Melges 24 European Championship, to be hosted by COYCH in Hyeres, France, has now been confirmed. Registration will open on Friday 21st August, there will be practise racing on Sunday 23 August and Championship racing will run from Monday 24 to Friday 28 August.
