Day two of the M24 Australian Championships and Queensland chose to turn on spectacular sunny skies and light seas breezes, we shared the course with a pod of dolphins chasing fish. The first of three races was started in 7 knots of Sth East to East breeze on Moreton Bay.
Cameron Miles takes to top job in the Australian Melges 24 Association as the class Drives forward to their 2013 Worlds in Australia. With the experience gained through his countless Soling and Etchell Campaigns Miles is a great figurehead for the fast growing class .
Sunny Queensland and day one started with rain, overcast skies and about 3 knots of breeze, East /South East . The start boat managed to get races away on time even though a delay looked possible. As the rain eased the breeze filled in to 6-8 knots for the afternoon.
Tallinn, Estonia - 3 May 2010 - In just three months time the International Melges 24 fleet will gather in Tallinn, Estonia, to prepare for its 2010 World Championship and lining up to support the event as title sponsor is sailing clothing and marine fashion specialist Marinepool.
Melges 24 skippers and crews are in final preparations for the third and largest Melges 24 National Titles to be held in Australia. Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron will host the event in a little over two weeks (3-7 May 2010).
