Seven Melges 24s took part in the recent North Sea Regatta and enjoyed a weekend of great winds and sunshine with incredibly close racing.
17 teams coming from 5 nations (AUT, SUI, GER, CZE & SLO) met over the ascension day weekend at Traunsee to sail the 3rd Austrian Open. The International Melges24 class was invited to be part of the BMW Allianz Traunsee Sailing Week the most important sailing event in the Alps area.
The initial entry deadline for the 2010 Marinepool Melges 24 World Championship is 1st June so you've just a few days to enter at the standard entry fee of Euro 750.
The Alghero leg of the 2010 Volvo Cup, which incorporated the 2010 Italian National Championship, was to bring a mix of conditions, some very tight racing and some difficult decisions for the jury. Alghero itself proved to be a wonderful venue.
