Revision To Melges 24 Worlds 2012 Dates - Now 27 July to 4 August 2012

During her site visit and meetings with the team at the Circolo Vela Torbole Fiona and the local team identified a potential problem with the original proposed dates for the 2012 Melges 24 World Championship and so to ensure the smooth running of the event and maximum availability of facilities the IMCA Executive Committee and the Circolo Vela Torbole, with the kind cooperation of the other clubs in the Trentino region of Lake Garda, have agreed that the best solution is to bring the regatta forward one week. The new schedule for the regatta is therefore:-

Friday 27 July - Registration Opens
Saturday 28 July - Registration Continues, Practise Racing & Gala Opening Ceremony, Dinner and Fireworks
Sunday 29 July - Registration Continues, Practise Racing, Skippers Briefing
Monday 30 July - Championship Racing & Pasta Party
Tuesday 31 July - Championship Racing & Pasta Party
Wednesday 1 August - Championship Racing & Pasta Party
Thursday 2 August - Championship Racing & Pasta Party
Friday 3 August - Championship Racing & Pasta Party
Saturday 4 August - Championship Racing, Gala Prize Giving Ceremony & Party

Apologies for any slight inconvenience caused by making this change but the priority is to achieve the best possible regatta and ensure that the logistics are as straight forward as possible for everyone.
