From Andy Burdick at the USMCA - The Florida Yacht Club in Jacksonville, Florida has been forced to cancel the Melges 24 Kings Day Regatta slated for November 20-21, 2004.
The fourth and final day of the Melges 24 French Open National Championship in Larmor Beach saw one final race in which the Rochelais based Jean-Francois Cruette and his crew of Scutum took the honours.
In a tense and tricky final race on Lake St Claire, Detroit, California's Argyle Campbell and his crew of Don Jesberg, Robert Kinney and Aaron Serenis aboard "Rock Roll" became the Melges 24 North American Champions 2004.
The second of three days racing at the Melges 24 North American Championship in Detroit brought mixed conditions, mixed fortunes and plenty of exciting racing.
