KING'S DAY REGATTA CANCELLED FOLLING HURRICANE DAMAGE

From Andy Burdick at the USMCA - The Florida Yacht Club in Jacksonville, Florida has been forced to cancel the Melges 24 Kings Day Regatta slated for November 20-21, 2004.

Due to the recent rampage of hurricanes which destroyed their docks and launching area the regatta simply cannot be sailed this year. Regatta Organiser Pat Lambert confirmed that they do plan on hosting this regatta again in 2005.

The 2004 US Winter Series will now open with the Key Largo - Ocean Reef Club Championship from December 10-12.
