After 3 races the 2002 German Open 2002 saw GER 191 KH+P (Gnter Tzeschlock, Regina Tzeschlock, Barbara Koepfer & Martin Ritsche) with 3 points in front of ITA 139 Ale Ali 3 (Mario Ziliani & Crew, winners of German Open 2001).

The German National Championships, taking place this coming weekend - 09 to 11 May, will be thesecond event in the 2002 European Ranking. With a highly competitive fleet including Alba Batzil, Mario Zilliani and Egidio Babbi we are expecting some great racingat Tutzing on Lake Starnberg in Bavaria.

The question of fairing is often raised and a definition asked for. It is always difficult to be precise andcommon sense must be applied. This is the reason that a measurer should always be involved.

The International Melges 24 Class and also National Melges 24 Class Associations are always happyto receive trophies for various races. However, without in anyway being ungrateful we would ask you to bear in mind a few points. 1.

Dear Melges24 sailors, The German Class Association (Ulli Strosek / Gnter Tzeschlock) met on 17th April 2002 the organisation team for the Worlds 2002. We held a meeting with Dr. Claus-Dieter Stoltze, the managing director of the hosting Lbecker Yacht Club.
