Melges Performance Sailboats Inc and Devoti Sailing Ltd today announced that they have reached agreement for Devoti Sailing to become the official European Builder of the International Melges 24 Class.

The third and final race of the Kings Day Regatta in Jacksonville, Florida gave way to extremesailing conditions bringing challenging and very interesting results.

Last night the sailors enjoyed a great food buffet and plenty of beverages in the ballroom of the Florida Yacht Club after sailing in wet, yet exciting, competitive and challenging weather conditions on day one. Today the conditions are not really any better.

Last night teams partied until early evening with oysters, beer and other beverages at the newly renovated facilities of the Florida Yacht Club. Everyone had a lot of fun after 17 boats turned out for practice races conducted by Skip Miller, Waterfront Director.

The Kings Day Regatta called it a short day due to lots of rain from a front pushing through north Florida (expected to bring much cooler weather for Sundays races). It managed to hold off long enough to squeeze in and complete two races.

As teams gear up for a weekend of exciting racing in Jacksonville at the Florida Yacht Club for the 2002 Kings Day Regatta the racing and planned parties promise to get the US Winter Series off to a great start as well as wind down the International World Ranking competition.
