KEY LARGO, Fla., Dec. 12, 2006 It was like driving head-on intooncoming traffic!
The first race of the 2005 Corum Melges 24 World Championship at Ocean Reef Club got off to a slow start today but ended with a bang. The first race was delayed because of fickle winds ranging from 3-5 knots and cycling between 270 and 355 degrees.
From Keith Taylor - The Kahn family from San Francisco, Calif., dominated the front running after the first two races of the 2005 Corum Melges 24 World Championship at Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo today.
The sun is shining, the temperature is in the 80s and the Melges sailors are happy people here at the Corum Melges 24 World Championship at Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo.
Congratulations to Italy's Gabrio Zandona and his Joe Fly Team, including owner Giovanni Maspero, winner of the 2005 International Melges 24 European Ranking. The Italian teams dominated this year's European Ranking filling the top nine places.
