As if the competitive nature of the Melges 24 was not enough of a lure to compete at the 2008 North American Championship, race sponsor Melges Performance Sailboats is slated to rock Annapolis with one of its famous Melges Rocks Parties on Thursday, 30 October.

The absolute final entry deadline for the 2008 North American Championship is Friday, 17 October. The time to act is now as currently 46 are signed up to attend with potentially more than 50 on the starting line. Don't miss this chance to compete against the very best sailors in the world!

We're only a few weeks out now from the great Novembre a Hyeres regatta which this year is also the French National Championship as well as the final event in the European Ranking.

The Velocitek Speed Challenge will give Melges 24 sailors the chance to win a $1,000 prize for the crew that achieves the top speed at the 2008 Melges 24 North American Championship at the Easport Yacht Club in Annapolis, MD on 26 October - 02 November.

he U.S. Melges 24 Class goes racing once again on 22-23 November in Tampa, Fla. for the 2008 Atlantic Coast Championship. Not only is this venue first class, the Davis Island Yacht Club is rolling out the red carpet for the grand finale of racing on North American Ranking schedule.

The 2008 UK National Championships were held in Guernsey over a very windy long weekend. After a postponement two races were sailed with A Team Westaway winning both races. Further racing was cancelled as it was getting dark.
