NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND (JUNE 1, 2010) -In just over three weeks, the US Melges 24 Class will crown a new US National Champion in Newport, R.I. alongside the exploding Melges 32 Class as they battle for the 2010 East Coast Championship.
Zenda, Wisc. (2010 June 8) - The 2010 Detroit NOOD has concluded featuring two powerful divisions of fun, fast, easy to sail Melges sportboats the forever awe-inspiring Melges 24 and Audi Melges 20.
The Melges 24 UK Nationals are to be held in conjunction with the 2010 Brewin Dolphin Jersey Regatta, hosted by the St Helier Yacht Club, Jersey. The Championship will run from Friday 3 to Sunday 5 September with eleven races scheduled over the three day series.
Once a stronghold for our class, numbers of Melges 24s racing in California over recent years had dwindled significantly. However 2010 has seen the beginnings of a resurgence for the Melges 24 class in there due solely to the enthusiasm and hard work of some of the local class stalwarts.
