Its a bit grey here this morning in Tallinn but the good news is that we have wind so it looks like day four of the 2010 Marinepool Melges 24 World Championship in Tallinn will be a good one.
There was relief all round on the third day of the 2010 Marinepool Melges 24 World Championship when the Baltic waters off Tallin, Estonia finally delivered wind conditions worthy of this World Championship.
Good news - we had a huge thunderstorm here last night and it has finally cleared the atmosphere. This morning we have pleasantly cooler conditions and already we have 5-7 knots with the promise of up to 15 knots from the SSW today.
Tallinn, Estonia - 8 August 2010 - Despite the best efforts of a determined Race Committee, an almost total absence of any meaningful wind meant that no racing was possible today at the 2010 Marinepool Melges 24 World Championship in Tallinn, Estonia.
Sadly the wind is being uncooperative here in Tallinn today. We went out on the water in time for the scheduled start and the wind kept trying to fill in but sadly it never actually happened and so the RC wisely sent the crews ashore to get out of the sun and await further instructions.
