The 2014 International Melges 24 Class Association World Council AGM will take place on Saturday 6 December 2014 in Milan, Italy. National Class Associations are reminded that the deadline for submission of nominations and proposals is Friday 10 October.
Melges 24 Norwegian Open Championship 2014 was held on September 5-7 in Larvik Norway Yacht Club. Norwegian Opens welcomed the great fleet of 29 boats from Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. Altogether 11 races were sailed during 3 racing days.
A total of 20 teams were racing, six-seven out of them were very challenging, just to name a few we have Rossini-Favini's Blu Moon, the standing European and World Leader, Wadadli, helmed by the continental champion Matteo Ivaldi, Giogi with couple Balestrero-Celon, Maidollis, helmed by Olympian Gab
The final event of the Melges 24 European Sailing Series will be held at the Delta Lloyd Open Dutch Championships in Medemblik, the Netherlands on September 19-21. It will be a competitive and great event with already 19 Melges 24 boats from 6 different countries and with social events to join.
After 3 days of race in Frederikshavn in the northern part of Denmark, Team Soffe and Kim Christensen in DEN 782 made a solid win after having secured 6 first place finishes in a total of 8 races.
TheGenoa international Boat Showwill be hosting the “Medal Race” finals of the Audi tron Sailing Series Melges 32 in the unprecedentedTeam Raceformula from the 3rd – 5th October.
