Next to ten Melges 20 and three Melges 32 boats in total seven Melges 24 boats were taking part from the Japan Melges Week 2014 held in Zushi Marina on November 1-3. Seven races were sailed during the event which was considered as the National Championship.

Melges 24 Chilean Class did have a great regatta during the last weekend. Three races sailed on the lake Rapel, are part of the annual championship that sums 30 races around the year. The fleet of 11 boats completed three races.

Quantum Key West Race Week is less than 3 months away and it appears that the comeback class for the 2015 edition will be the Melges 24 class.

Photographer Sharon Green, in her newly released coffee table book 30 Years of Ultimate Sailing, sought out the leaders in the sport to share their Ultimate Sailing moments.

Melges 24 World Championship 2015 will take place on June 30 until July 5, hosted by Match Racing Denmarkin co-operation with the Danish Melges 24 Class Association and IMCA in Middelfart, Denmark.

The 2014 Melges 24 Fall Championship took place in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin on October 3-5 with Brian Porter’sFull Throttletaking top honors. Seattle’s Kevin Welch onMikeytook second, while long-time Melges 24 owner John Schumacher’sMuskegonclaimed third.
