Its a glorious fall morning here in Rochester and we're all set for a wonderful finale to our 2010 North American Championship. We have up to three more races possible today and with only six points separating the top three boats its going to be an exiting finish.
The final race of the series was hugely exciting as Burns and Field matched raced their way up the first beat fighting it out for the overall title. Field needed to get two boats between him and Burns to win and Burns was equally determined not to let him.
Rochester, NY, USA - 25 September 2010 - The sailors are enjoying the 2010 Melges 24 North American Championship in Rochester so much they don't want it to end! At the close of play yesterday seven races had been completed and with two days to go there were three more left to sail.
Good morning from day 3 in Rochester. This morning we have overcast skies and the temperature is dropping but it's still very pleasant and as the boats head out to the race course we have around 8 knots from the south.
