Zuxu EST-791 Wins Finnish Ranking 2

Zuxu EST791 helmed by Peter Saraskin wins also ranking 2 in front of Helsinki. Midnight Sun Sailing One FIN529 helmed by Sami Ekblad and Betfair FIN742 helmed by Tomi Hakola had a tight dual for second place. MSS One took silver with just one point seperating them to Betfair.

The weather today in Melkki race area just outside Helsinki couldn´t have been better. Partly cloudy with sunshine, +18 degrees and wind coming in from NW (290 degrees) with a velocity of appr 8 to 12 knots.

In the first start the race committee didn´t make their day easy setting up a starting line having a big committee boat bias. The Melges 24 fleet tried out 3 times to get off. The third attempt had success with a black flag. Overnight leader Midnight Sun Sailing One kicked out to front rounding the windward mark first followed by Zuxu EST791, MiinakissaIV FIN434 and Betfair FIN742. During the end of the first run Betfair took Zuxu and MiinakissaIV. In the end MSS One first, Betfair second and Zuxu third. It looked like a "easy" win for MSS One having two wins, but...

Second race of the day and a tight start. Betfair took command of the fleet from the very first moments and held their lead to the end althought Zuxu tried almost everything to take their lead. With a really bad start MSS One finished 9th and dropped overall second having every race counted.
