Travelling to US after November 7, 2021
November 2, 2021 - US Sailing - US Sailing wanted to pass along an update received from the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) regarding the upcoming travel changes in the United States for any Continental/World Championship event being held in the U.S.
Starting on November 8th all fully vaccinated foreign nationals (which includes but is not limited to; athletes, race officials, and coaches) will be able to travel to the United States with proof of vaccination. This means that all previously issued National Interest Exemption Letters are no longer valid nor needed for travel to the US(after November 7th).
This change eliminates the National Interest Exemption process for upcoming regattas/events in the US for athletes, race officials, and coaches.
Any person that submitted an application for N.I.E. approval as of this morning(11/2/2021) has been submitted to the USOPC for review for travel entry through November 7th.
