Three Races, A Late Finish And Flavio Favini Leads in Neustadt
It's already getting dark here in Neustadt and the crews in the 2007 Melges 24 European Championship being held at Baltic Race Week are only just back ashore after a long day and three gruelling races. A full report will follow shortly but in the meantime the provisional results have been posted and in the overall standings Flavio Favini, helming Franco Rossini's Blu Moon SUI521 (pictured above) is leading with Jamie Lea, helming Stuart Simpson's Team Barbarians GBR691 in second and Lorenzo Bressani sailing Uka Uka ITA682 third. In the Corinthian standings for the all amateur crews Tonu Toniste sailing Lenny EST646 leads from Hendrik Witzmann in Sonnenonig SUI684 with Mario Ziliani sailing Gullisara ITA673 third.
