Sun and Wind in Santa Cruz
05.05.2007
Here in Santa Cruz the sun is shining and there's a great breeze blowing at around 22 knots with occasional stronger gusts (we've had to get the paper weights out in the press office!). Whilst some competitors are still ariving and registering their boats others are out on the water right now for the first day of practise racing.
The Race Committee has its work cut out today as the back end of yesterday's front moves away giving tricky shifting conditions. The good news is that the wind should stabilise over the coming hours and the forecast is near perfect for the coming days.
Full reports of today's racing from Event Press Officer Rich Roberts will follow shortly so stay tuned!
