Stunning Practise Conditions in Santa Cruz
17.05.2006
The 31 teams have almost completed registration here in Santa Cruz and this afternoon PRO Hank Stuart and his team ran practise racing in the most stunning conditions. Clear blue skies, warm sun, fantastic ocean swells and 15-18 knots of wind gave the sailors plenty to smile about. Seadon Wijsen (pictured) took the practise race from Argyle Campbell and Peter Ashwanden.
Tonight the club is laying on an informal BBQ welcome party and as I write the teams and their families are gathering on the balcony over looking Santa Cruz's beautiful harbour enjoying the late afternoon sunshing.
Racing starts tomorrow morning at 1230 and we'll be out on the water to bring you all the latest news and picture.
