ST. PETERSBURG NOOD (FEB 15-17) PREVIEW
The St Petersburg NOOD will host the next event in the 2002 North American Ranking Series from February 15-17. St. Petersburg is a terrific sailing venue and with a recent $250,000 renovation of the sailing centre, incorporating additional floating docks, ramps and other improvements, the shore side facilities will match the excellent sailing conditions.
There is an active home fleet of 16 and lots of Melges 24s are still in Florida following the Worlds so a really big turnout is anticipated. Entry fees are low, accommodation is good quality, local and inexpensive and there is an excellent social programme planned. Additionally Harry Melges and Andy Burdick are putting on a coaching seminar on the Thursday and Friday to help crews prepared for the event (please E-mail Andy Burdick for further information).
