Spanish Fleet Update and an Invite to Palma Vela

From Sven Lindahl of the Spanish Class - Our clas is growing! I sold my boat to a team in our club and I have ordered a new Melges 24 from Devoti sailing. Another local team are just trying to find a second hand boat and hope to find something in Barcelona and Portugal. In Almeria 200 km east from Malaga a Norwegian group are getting 2 boats and will race in our area. So thing looks good for the class in Spain.

We will sail in Palma Mallorca at the "Palma Vela" from 18-22 of April 2007. This is a one design regatta which provides a fantastic shop window for the Melges 24 fleet and would like to invite other European Teams to compete in this terrific event. Free ferry travel from Barcelon or Marseille is available which makes it very easy for teams who have been to the SNIM Regatta over Easter (6-9 April) to just hop on the ferry and come and join us for more great sailing in the spring sunshine! Already we have 11 boats Spanish boats committed to attending (9 from Malaga plus the two Norwegian teams) and we are working closely with Devoti Sailing who are very keen to work with us, especially now they have already sold 3 new boats into Spain in recent weeks.
