REGISTRATION COMPLETE & COMPETITORS SET TO GO IN TRAVEMUENDE

After a hard day under a relentless sun and in baking heat all the competitors are registered and set to go at the Melges 24 Worlds in Travemuende.

The total entry is now up to 76 thanks to a late entry from Switzerland's Franco Rossini and his 2001 World Championship winning crew. Unfortunately Franco's World Championship winning helm Flavio Favini is unable to defend his title because of his America's Cup commitments, but he has brought in Italian Tiziano Nava of Quantum Sails who has already had excellent success with the team in events this season. Franco will be hoping to add a second World title to his resume.

With Olympic medallists, America's Cup and Volvo Ocean Race crews and some of the top sailors from around the globe gathered here in Travemuende we can look forward to a week of excellent racing. The crew briefing takes place at 0900 tomorrow morning and the first start is set for 1130.
