Paulo Bezanilla’s Swift is 2016 Melges 24 Chilean Champion
February 16, 2016 - Lake Rapel, Chile - Chilean Melges 24 Class had their 2016 National Championship on Lake Rapel on February 11-13. Altogether sixteen teams were taking part including six Corinthian. After eight races completed the 2016 Chilean Melges 24 Champion is Paulo Bezanilla’s Swift with Alejandro Perez at the helm.
During three racing days on Lake Rapel Chilean Melges 24 Class managed to complete eight races altogether. With three bullets, two second, two third finishes and seventh finish as the discard Paulo Bezanilla’s Swift with Alejandro Perez at helm managed to collect 13 points in total. On the second place finished the regatta 86 years old Pal Gallyas on Magic Marine with 22 points in total. On the third position finished Il Mostro of Sebastian Marisio with Cristobal Perez at the helm 9 points behind of the second.
The best Corinthian team at the Chilean Nationals 2016 was Juan Ramon Moral’s Centurion followed by Luna Rosa of Alberto Ortiz and in third place Hualatos of Tomas Leiva.
