Notice of IM24CA World Council Extraordinary General Meeting 2025
14 January 2025 - Following the IM24CA World Council Annual General Meeting held on November 17, 2024 in Zoom, here's a Notice of the World Council Extraordinary meeting on February 25, 2025.
Dear IM24CA World Council,
As you may recall, the IM24CA World Council decided at the Annual General Meeting in November 2024 to hold an Extraordinary General Meeting on February 25, 2025, to discuss and accept the bids for the IM24CA future events. We also announced the deadline of January 6th to accept the bids for the following events:
- 2026 Worlds (North America)
- 2026 Europeans
- 2027 Worlds (Europe) – the interest can be expressed with a Letter of Intention
- 2027 North Americans – the interest can be expressed with a Letter of Intention
By the deadline on January 6th, we received only the bid to host the 2026 Worlds at the Little Traverse Yacht Club in Little Traverse Bay / Harbor Springs, MI, USA – thank you, and we are excited about that venue.
Due to the holiday season, some potential bids have been on hold, so we extended the deadline to submit the bids according to the following EGM timeline:
- January 14, Tuesday: Notice of an EGM is given to the World Council with 6 weeks’ notice; the topics of this EGM will be the approval of the venue for the 2026 Worlds and the 2026 Europeans;
- January 28, Tuesday: Deadline for the submission of bids for the 2026 Worlds and the 2026 Europeans, and any future events of 2027
- February 4, Tuesday: Deadline for the distribution of the bids received to the World Council
- February 25, Tuesday at 3 pm ET: EGM via Zoom
The number of votes per country will be the same as those used for the 2024 AGM.
