No Wind And No Racing On Final Day In Lerici - Blu Moon Wins Volvo Cup 3
Sadly the final day of the third 2009 Volvo Cup Regatta in Lerici, Italy, was to be dogged by light winds. The competitors waited in the race area hoping for the sea breeze to arrive but it wasn't to be and eventually the race committee was forced to send the teams back to the dock to pack up and prepare for the prize giving. This leaves Franco Rossini's Blu Moon team as victors of this leg of the Volvo Cup with Nicola Celon and Lanfranco Cirillo's Fantstica from Italy second and fellow Italian Luca Valerio helming Maurizio Abba's Alina in third.
