An invitation from the French Class - Have you ever sailed in La Rochelle, this beautiful old city and historic port on the seaside? If not, you have to: just realize that its two beautiful towers have already welcome the most fascinating inshore regattas… 2000 Melges 24 worlds, 420 Worlds, Finn European (this winter) and next year Tornado Sport Worlds. La Rochelle is also the starting point, the arrival scene and a stop for such prestigious offshore events as Tour de France à la Voile, Mini 6.50, Figaro, Volvo Ocean race, or Atlantic challenge. At last, La Rochelle is the sailing Olympic city of Paris candidature for 2012 Olympic Games.

This year the City and the SRR ( Société des Régates Rochelaises) are determined to make you discover the best of their beautiful sailing site, their organization skills and their talent for welcoming sailors.

So just prepare your Melges and join the SIV (Semaine Internationale de la Voile) from the 19th to the 23rd of May in a fully renovated club, a serious race committee, preparing a superb regatta – full of energy, excellent sailing, friendly atmosphere.
