Melges 24 Makes Triumphant Return To Kiel Week (19-23 June 2010)

After several years absence the Melges 24 makes a triumphant return in 2010 to the legendary Kiel Week regatta.  For the first time the Melges 24 will be sailing in the Olympic part of Kiel Week which will help to considerably raise the class profile at the event.  The organisers have planed a special race course dedicated to sportboat classes which is quite close to the Schilksee marina making Kiel Week easier and more fun than ever before for the Melges 24 Class.

Kiel Week 2010 is counting for the IMCA World & European Ranking 2010 and is replacing SNIM in Marseille – top teams from Italy have already promised to participate and we expect many teams from Scandinavia as well.  The timing of the week couldn't be better as its perfectly placed to allow competitors on their way to the Worlds in Tallinn to use the event as part of their build up.

Travelling from Kiel on to Tallinn couldn't be easier with the option of driving up on the Via Baltica or going via Denmark and Sweden with the ferry.  See www.worlds2010.fi for full travel option details.
