MELGES 24 ESTONIA: Windy weekend in Tallinn during Finnish-Estonian Ranking 2

8 June, 2015 - Tallinn, Estonia - The second event of the 2015 Melges 24 Finnish Estonian Ranking was held in Kalev Yacht Club, Tallinn, Estonia on June 6-7. Four Estonian teams were on starting line to prepare both for the Estonian Championship next weekend and majority of them for the Melges 24 World Championship 2015 in Middelfart, Denmark in 3 weeks time.

For sure Tõnu Tõniste's Lenny EST790 and Peter Šaraškin's Zuxu EST791 competing, but it's great to see Ants Haavel's Freddy EST826 back with Ants Haavel in helm and the rest of the crew from Rock City team. Fourth boat competing was EST573 with Targo Raus in helm. No Finnish boats this time sadly in Tallinn - hope to see them next weekend!

The conditions in the morning of the first day were not that promising for sailors - the sun in a clear blue sky and a very weak wind only. But for the midday, when the first race was scheduled to start, there was around 3 m/s from NW. Tight battle between the two top Estonian teams Lenny and Zuxu was interesting to see while Freddy added more excitement to the competition.
