Japanese Melges 24 Regatta Schedule Announced

The rapid increase in interest and awareness of the Melges 24 is having a very positive effect on the existing Japanese Melges 24 Class Association which is experiencing a resurgence of interest. In response the Japanese Class has announced its regatta schedule for the coming 2007 season which is designed to build on the existing fleets and also develope new fleets around the country. The dates for the 2007 Japanese Regattas are:

March 25 – Fleet Race – Platu
April 21 & 22 – Championship - Kantoh
May 20 – Fleet Race – Platu
July 8 – Fleet Race – Platu
August 18 & 19 – Championship - Kantoh
November 18 – Fleet Race – Platu

In addition the class plans to organise a Japanese National Championship towards the end of the year and further information about this will be released in due course.
