IMCA Executive Committee Agrees Key Changes To International Melges 24 Yearbook
As part of a major review of expenditure the IMCA Executive Committee has been considering the future of the Melges 24 Yearbook. Whilst the IMCA World Council agreed at the October 2009 AGM that it would still like to see a printed publication produced, the issue of reducing class running costs to keep them in line with class income has to be taken into consideration and producing and distributing the Yearbook in its existing format is a very costly operation.
Following a detailed review the Executive Committee has agreed that the format and frequency of the yearbook should both be revised and it is currently reviewing proposals which will allow the book to become self-funding. It is anticipated that the first edition of the new style book will be published in late 2010 or early 2011 and further details will be announced as soon as they are available.
