IMCA Calls World Council Extraordinary General Meeting
At it's Annual Genera Meeting on 14 November 2009 the IMCA World Council approved a change to the IMCA Constitution to enable the class to call an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of the World Council (see details on page 11 of the AGM minutes - Constitution points 10.7 - 10.7.3). Having approved that change the IMCA World Council then voted to request that the Executive Committee call a World Council EGM at the earliest practical opportunity to discuss two important potential rule changes that could not be voted on at the 2009 AGM as revisions to the original proposals submitted were requested.
The IMCA Class Secretary has now given formal notice to the IMCA World Council delegates that an EGM of the IMCA World Council will be held via Skype conference call on Tuesday 12th January 2010 at 1800 hours London time to discuss and vote on proposed changes to IMCA Class rules C.9.7, F3/F3.2 and C.2/C2.2. These rules govern the forestay system and the method used for checking crew weights at regattas. Please follow the links below to read the agenda and full details of the proposed rule changes.
