Hungarian Open Championship Cancelled

We have received word from the Hungarian Class today that it has sadly been forced to cancel the planned inaugural Hungarian Open Championship which was due to have been held from 1 - 3 May 2009 on Lake Balaton. Sadly the current financial crisis, which is hitting Hungary particularly hard, has made securing a sponsor impossible and in the current circumstances the Hungarian Class has been left with no option but to cancel the event.

The five Hungarian One Design Trophy events will still take place as planned and the date and locations for these are available via the IMCA REGATTA SCHEDULE or by E-mailing Márta Weöres. The Hungarian Class continues to grow with several new boats joining the fleet for this season and Hungary would welcome international visitors to any of its Hungarian One Design Trophy events this year.
