GEIR DAL ANDERSON TAKES THE NORWEGIAN CHAMPIONSHIP FOR A SECOND TIME

From Nils Hauff of the Norwegian Class - After a close match NOR 506 Geir Dahl Andersen, the 2002-champion, won his second Norwegian Championship this week-end. NOR 366 Eivind Melleby who did so well in Marstrand, won the silver medal only one point behind NOR 506. Kristian Nergaard in NOR 560 got the bronze medal five points behind the winner. BFD for Melleby and Nergaard in race 9 made the fight for the gold medal exciting, and nothing was decided until the last race was finished. Defending champion Kristoffer Spone helming for Nils Hauff in NOR 249 came fourth.

Åsgårdstrand Seilforening (Yacht Club) made an excellent championship. In three days we got ten races in medium and light winds from south and west.
